What is FSC ® ?

Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 1993 to promote environmentally friendly, socially acceptable and economically sustainable management of the world's forests.The work of FSC ® is supported internationally by environmental and trade union organizations, representatives of indigenous peoples as well as companies from the Forestry and wood-related industries.The International Organization Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC) has developed standards for standards for certification of forests (Forest Management) and companies that trade, produce FSC Chain of Custody.The certification according to FSC Forest Management is about certifying the forest by ensuring that forest management is carried out in a responsible and correct manner.

L. STAMATAKIS & CO.E received the FSC ® certification in 2022, as recorded by the FSC ® organization on the basis of certified members of the "FSC ® surveillance chain". The FSC Chain of Custody Standard describes a management system that aims to effectively monitor the raw materials used to produce the products in a company. This monitoring concerns all stages of the processing of raw materials, up to delivery to consumers, ensuring that raw materials have been used and subsequent processes in accordance with the requirements of the standard and responsible forest management. This standard is aimed at companies belonging to the"FSC ® surveillance chain". Any other cooperation with a company that does not have the relevant certification does not allow the use of the relevant marking, and for this reason is considered misleading.
